The transverse spine in Pilates

How to relieve the back? Correcting bad posture.

The transverse spinous vein is a deep muscle that lies alongthe spine.

This muscle forms an inverted braid along the spine.

It is not really visible because it is very deep and not really palpable directly, but through more superficial layers of muscle.

The movements of the deep muscles are generally of low amplitude. Concerning the transverse spinatus, it is a slight flexion of the trunk itself, without enlarging the opposite side:

Example Standing with your feet hip-width apart, bend your trunk slightly, lengthening your spine. That is, without feeling a bend on the side and without feeling a stretch on the opposite side. You can tilt your head to the side of the bend to feel the movement better, but always in line with the spine.

Thanks to this muscle, it allows us in Pilates class to grow ourselves for each exercise. In this way, it is a muscle that allows us to correct our bad postures.

Feel the muscle that lightens your spinal discs. Feel how long your spine is and how much lighter your body is!

This is the interest of the transverse spine. Once well located and felt, it is advisable to work this muscle well for a well being of the back which will follow very quickly.
