Pilates on machines in Béziers

Pilates Reformer and Pilates Chair

Reforming

Even if you have never used it, you have probably heard of the Reformer, the original concept invented by Jospeh Pilates. It is a machine for muscle strengthening that consists of a sliding bench, called a cart, equipped with springs, bars and straps. It gives you an intense feeling of stretching and strengthening of the major postural chains .

The advantage of the Pilates Reformer is that it offers all of the deep muscle strengthening benefits of mat work in a different dimension and with a different resistance spring system. Indeed, the resistance of the pulley and spring system offers more resistance to work the body further. With the Reformer training, you will achieve better posture and coordination of the limbs. With the Reformer, you strengthen your body without risking damage to your joints: by working horizontally, your body is less subject to the force of gravity. Depending on the exercise, Pilates on the Reformer can either add a challenge or be a help.

The bars and cables of the Reformer allow you to work on a greater range of motion, the advantage being that you are working with the cables and springs. The interest here is not to work in strength but really to re-educate the body and to become fully aware of it. The principle of Pilates in its objective of strengthening the deep muscles is to allow the dissociation of the muscle chains, thus making it possible to isolate them from each other in the work.

Lying down, kneeling, or standing on the Reformer, the series are quickly linked to work the coordination.

The exercise possibilities are endless and therefore allow for a unique workout every time.

Chair

This Wunda Chair machine requires a more advanced level of Pilates. A set of precise exercises will allow you to stretch and strengthen in depth muscle groups that were previously difficult to reach .

The class follows the same basic principles of Pilates but the person works with resistance and springs to achieve the same goals: a long, well-aligned and graceful body .

By following this method, all the muscles will become firmer and will help you to obtain a redesigned, slim and graceful figure, underlined by the improvement of the body posture. We work more on certain parts of the body such as the biceps, triceps, hamstrings, trapezius and spine. Coordination, balance, control, precision and fluidity of movement are worked on.

In short, a body that is not only slimmer and longer, but also more flexible and stronger.

The more you do Pilates the more you know your body and correct it at any time of the day. It is therefore a practice that is lived daily for a long-term well-being.
