Advantages of Tangram mediation for adults

What is Tangram Meditation?

 Tangram meditation,

"It is the experience of attempting to observe the present moment and what is happening in the psychic process of the observer.

"It is the attempt to observe the present moment and "what is".

"This is sitting (Zafu, meditation cushion - for those who don't have one, I will tell you how to choose one according to your size and flexibility).

But still!

There are many meditation and relaxation practices: guided, yogic, vipassana... All these practices aim to achieve a specific goal.

However, the Tangram Meditation isa special case.

It is aimless. And yet it is the practice that leads to the most profound changes .

With Tangram Meditation, it is by stopping trying to achieve anything that you will reach your goals.

How is this possible?

This is simply because of a key concept in Tangram Meditation:

By learning to let go of your ego's desires and beliefs, you open yourself up to all possibilities.

This is what differentiates Tangram Meditation from self-development, relaxation or other forms of meditation.

Rather than following advice to achieve specific goals, as most of these practices propose, you will learn to truly let go.

Step by step, you will take a step back from your mental constructs, the result of your education, your environment and your life context.

In this way, you can make room for your real and deepest aspirations, in accordance with your true nature.

By detaching yourself from your goals - and therefore from the expectations of your ego - you will reveal the part of you that lies behind your ego's demands.

You will thus begin a deep work of detachment of the ego to advance in your life with much more clarity of mind and openness.

The practice of Tangram Meditation could therefore be summarised as follows: if you stop looking, you will find. This is the key to your true freedom!

Here is what you need to know about Tangram Meditation, in 4 essential points.

a. Tangram Meditation is a secular practice

Tangram Meditation is a non-believing practice .

It therefore addresses each of us by responding to a fundamental need: that of regaining control of our own lives.

b. Posture and Breathing: two fundamental elements of Tangram Meditation

Correct posture and breathing are the basis of this practice.

They are the foundation on which the deep work you will do on yourself, day after day, is built.

Learning Tangram Meditation therefore starts with knowing the essential points of the right posture, respecting your physical characteristics and constraints .

At the same time, you will learn to breathe well, a fundamental practice for meditation, but also for your everyday life.

c. The Spirit of Meditation: The Foundation of Tangram Meditation

The spirit of Tangram Meditation is based on the foundations of the original meditation, which is the oldest form of meditation.

Many key concepts accompany this ancient practice. This is what we call the spirit of meditation.

Some of these fundamental concepts are

  • The here and now
  • Letting go
  • The ego
  • Impermanence
  • Acceptance
  • Emptiness
  • Openness, compassion and empathy

Understanding the true meaning of these concepts is fundamental to moving towards a correct practice of meditation.

By learning the spirit of meditation, along with the correct posture and breathing, you will start a virtuous circle .

Indeed, knowledge of the spirit of meditation will enable you to meditate with accuracy

But it is through daily practice that you will integrate these concepts more and more deeply.

Their understanding will become more evident with each practice.

This is why posture, breathing and the spirit of meditation are three interdependent elements of Tangram Meditation.

d. Tangram Meditation: a psychoanalysis of silence

Tangram Meditation is practiced in silence, in a sitting posture, facing a wall.

The daily repetition of this exercise, in the acceptance of what is simply there - in your mind as well as in your direct environment - will bring you face to face with what is going on within you .

You will therefore take the position of witness to your own thoughts, without trying to stop or control them .

This work of acceptance and observation will make you aware of your repetitive thought patterns, emotions and beliefs.

These non-judgmental awarenesses will move you towards a better understanding of yourself and a gradual and lasting detachment from your ego.

If the idea of achieving your goals without striving for anything surprises you, read on.

This is how Tangram Meditation

can really change your life.

a. Develop your intuition and unveil your true nature to live a life that reflects you

By meditating every day, you will stop identifying with your beliefs and the demands of your ego.

You will become aware that your thoughts and beliefs are only the result of your life history.

This detachment from the ego will allow you to gradually develop your intuition, the language of your true nature .

As you practice, you will sharpen your intuition while regaining control of your mind .

You will thus take back the reins of your life by following a life path that really resembles you, in accordance with the values and aspirations of your true nature.

b. Manage your emotions better to live a more balanced life

All too often we suffer our emotions without really understanding them.

Under strong emotion, we lose control and are no longer in control of our words and actions.

The practice of Tangram Meditation will allow you to observe your emotions, in the here and now, without trying to understand or modify them.

You will learn to stop identifying with them.

By welcoming your emotions, you will give them the opportunity to pass through you and leave you as quickly as they appeared .

You will then realise thatby accepting their presence, you reduce their impact on you .

Buried or repressed emotions take up all the space. Conversely, accepted emotions only pass through us without threatening our balance.

c. Live more intensely, don't be afraid to act

Detached from your ego - and therefore from your fears and doubts - and guided by your intuition, you will no longer be afraid to jump into life with both feet!

Now it's your turn to find the career you've always dreamed of, the hobbies you've never taken up, the conversations you never dared have!

Of course, meditation is not a magic wand.

Practicing meditation does not guarantee you will be promoted to the position you desire. However, you will regain the self-confidence necessary to empower yourself to live the life you really want.

d. Open up to the world and those around you

By detaching yourself from your ego, you will greatly expand your horizons and perspectives. You will gradually learn to look at the world with more objectivity by reducing the filter of your "pair of glasses" (your ego).

It will then be easier for you to understand the world around you without placing yourself at the heart of everything you observe.

This ego-free view will also allow you tooffer those around you a genuine, compassionate and empathetic ear .

"Meditation is about sitting with who we are, here and now. Whether we are sad, angry, elated or just fine, meditation will bring our current mental state into focus. It is not a magic formula or an instant solution to our worries. It is only the diligent practice of meditation that will gradually free us from unnecessary suffering.

How does one become a Meditation Coach?

I would never have thought that I would ever train to be a meditation coach!

What was the trigger?

As a Pilates coach I am able to interact with clients. Mainly private and duo lessons.

In the first year of the health crisis, something clicked.
A first change was to give online courses and create videos for some clients. I couldn't give up on the clients. To allow them to continue in order to be well in body and mind. To have that moment just for them by relieving them of all possible ailments.

How much people have been affected by this pandemic! Fear, stress, fatigue, worries, low morale...

The second change was to discover meditation. This need was born during this pandemic. Need to be in tune with oneself. To develop more compassion and empathy. Helping people to ground themselves, to calm down, to sleep better, to be more optimistic while remaining realistic. Listen to them if possible without intervening personally.

Listening is an art. Through this meditation I have learned to listen more and listen 'better'.

I looked for the meditation that best suited me and that in my humble opinion allows us to find the true nature that exists in us since our birth. Tangram meditation is a complement to Pilates classes and for those who only want to meditate, it is a way to reconnect and recharge.

Pilates and Tangram meditation have in common that they unite body and mind. Also to always come back to the posture and the breathing by going out of one's comfort zone.

The Tangram Meditation Coach Training has responded to this request.

Tangram meditation is not a moment of relaxation. It is an introspection. All the more difficult for me as I am hyper active.

At the beginning when we meditate, we look for something. Then, as the meditations progress, one does not seek anything, one does not expect anything. We let the thoughts and emotions pass without judging them.

We do an inner cleansing that allows us to have another vision of the world by accepting what is.

Accept impermanence, interdependence and emptiness.

Thanks to this meditation, I don't just meditate on my zafu but I meditate every day in my daily life.

Meditation is the best way to feel good about yourself and others. A better perception of the world, a more developed optimism, an inner calm, a better listening, an open mind....

Everyone will experience more or less similar changes. Positive changes, but sometimes a little confusing, because Tangram meditation leads you to introspection (observation, analysis of feelings and motivations by the subject himself).

To rediscover our true nature, which has been within us since birth.
