Come and try the Bosu!
To prepare you for skiing and hiking in particular.
It is an object that requires " proprioception ", the sense that informs the body of the position of the muscles, to improve balance.
With Bosu, you :
- Learn to control your movements, posture and body positioning,
- Improve your flexibility,
- Improve your balance because if you place the flat part upwards, it creates an unstable and wobbly platform. In this position the body needs to activate the stabilising muscles. In Pilates we learn to activate the stabilising muscles by separating the shoulder girdle from the pelvic girdle. When we do exercises on the Bosu, we already have some knowledge from Pilates and therefore it is easier for us to perform the movements on the Bosu well,
- Prevent injuries (as in Pilates) by strengthening different areas such as the abdomen, knees, ankles, feet, glutes and back.
The Bosu can also be a useful tool for injury rehabilitation. For this reason, this equipment is also used in specific programmes designed to strengthen the back to relieve or prevent pain in this area.
Combining Pilates and Bosu is to strengthen even more deeply all the parts of the body that we already work in Pilates.
To your Bosu!
