Pilates à la Carte, Quality Pilates!

Véro's Pilates for athletes and non-athletes offers Individual, Duo and Trio classes. Specificity of my classes: each person can do a Mat Pilates class (on the floor) as well as discover Pilates on machines (Wunda Chair and Reformer) .

For 2 or 3 people, the session takes place in Workshops, i.e. each person performs an exercise on the floor, on the Wunda Chair and on the Reformer. Each session combines the 3 Pilates activities. 

Pilates Mat (floor)

My classes are suitable for all people(Athletes, Non Athletes, Pregnant Women (Pre and Postnatal), Seniors, High Level Athletes and People with Pathologies).

This is a one-hour individual session during which the teacher will focus exclusively on you. Observing, advising and correcting the movements as they are performed. An eagle eye is necessary and essential. A Pilates à la Carte, according to your needs and expectations in order to reach your goals together. I will meet all your requirements by establishing a personalised programme together (specific to each person). A precise listening of the needs and objectives of the person allows to reach quickly the expected results. 

During the session, you are usually lying on your back, on your stomach or sitting. Pilates Mat classes start with the fundamentals. These are movements that allow you to have a good alignment, a good posture. To become aware of the dissociation of the upper body (scapular stability and mobility) and the lower body (lumbar-pelvic stability). 

The 5 neutral Pilates positions

  • 1 Pelvis placement,
  • 2 Abdominal centring,
  • 3 Central thoracic breathing,
  • 4 Shoulder placement,
  • 5 Head placement.

2 Concentration "Concentrate on getting the movements right every time you practice, otherwise you will do them wrong and lose all the vital benefits they can bring" Joseph Pilates

3 Control - "Clearly, they indicate that neither the mind nor the body is of greater importance - that one cannot be subordinated to the other.

4 Centering (Abdominal) - Centering refers to directing your mental and physical focus to the core, or "CENTRE" of your body during each Contrology exercise.

5 Precision - It is imperative to maintain as students, and teach as a teacher, a conscious attention to precision during the movements of each exercise.

6 Fluidity - The aim is that the energy spent during each exercise connects all parts of the body smoothly and therefore flows evenly through the body, from the movement, starting from the "centre

I will guide you on both placement and breathing. This method will allow you to strengthen the weaker muscles while stretching the stronger ones in order to rebalance your muscle chain.
