The Tangram meditation posture in 5 points

Posture and breathing are the two fundamentals of Tangram meditation.

▶️The posture "Ideal" for meditating is the Lotus or Half Lotus posture. The posterior is placed on the edge of the zafu (meditation cushion), allowing the pelvis to tilt forward. To be in openness. Release tension in the pelvic muscles. Above the iliac ribs, the ilium-psoas. The psoas, the muscle of the soul.

▶️The spine

- Tuck your chin in so that it is in line with your belly button. Imagine that your skull is being pulled up to the sky by a wire while making sure not to create stiffness in your neck and lower back. Relax your shoulders. Shoulders away from the ears.

➡️The hands

The hands are placed in front of the abdomen: the right hand is open, palm facing the sky. The left hand, in the same position, rests in the right hand. The two thumbs meet and touch in the center. No tension in the thumbs. Stay flexible.

➡️Theeyes

Eyes half-closed (in order not to fall asleep if your eyes are closed and if your eyes are wide open it is more difficult to stay focused), sitting facing a wall. The eyes do not rest on anything. A flat surface allows you to keep your attention, on your introspection while remaining conscious of your presence in the world. At the beginning, it can be difficult to have half-closed eyes because it requires a small muscular effort.

➡️Mouth

The lips are closed: breathing is done through the nose (one inhales and exhales through the nose). The teeth are loose and the tongue rests effortlessly while the tip of the tongue touches the palate. Relax your jaws.

We can meditate in different ways:

➡️Sitting on one's zafu cross-legged(Burmese position) or Lotus or Half Lotus position (Cross-legged position and soles of the feet placed towards the groin towards the sky)

➡️Sitting on a chair with his zafu, feet flat apart hip width, back touching the top of the chair or having his zafu leaning against the top of the chair.

One meditates at home as well as outside depending on the moment.

The main thing is to meditate. To appropriate this moment so beneficial.
