The 6 ab series in Pilates
The series of 6 Pilates crunches are designed to :
- Strengthen the resistance of the abdominal muscles,
- Have a good body alignment,
- Good trunk stability when moving the lower limbs,
- Learn to perform the opposite movements in 2 directions from the Power House (the centre of the body)
- Good breathing in and out,
- Hamstring stretch,
- Develop control and precision of movement,
- Strengthen legs and arms,
- Allow the legs to move separately from the pelvis.
The abdominal muscles are :
- The transverse,
- Obliques (internal and external)
- The great right.
